Go inside a Mediterranean-style home in Dallas’ Preston Hollow filled with light

Grand living spaces, light-filled rooms and a striking dual staircase are among the design features in this North Preston Hollow home. The house has a stone exterior accented with wrought-iron details on balconies and doors, plus a tile and metal roof that magnifies its Mediterranean appeal.

The home has 11,014 square feet of space with five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. It sits on a 0.35-acre lot and has a pool in the backyard.

Built in 2005, there are detailed designs throughout the house, including crown molding, striking light fixtures, a wrought-iron banister on the staircase, marble floors and an elevator. When visitors walk through the front doors of the home at 6326 Lakehurst Ave., they’re met with a set of grand staircases that lead to the second level. Listing agent Courtney Anthony of Keller Williams Realty said the staircases would be ideal for a glamorous prom or wedding entrance.

Anthony said the home’s layout provides ample space for a large family.

“It’s really what I would consider a multi-generational home because it has two huge master suites,” she said.

One of the primary suites is on the first level, and the other is on the second. Each suite has a bedroom, a sitting area, a bathroom, a fireplace and walk-in closets. Three more bedrooms are on the second level of the home.

On the first level of the home, a formal living room or study has picture frame molding on the walls and a fireplace on one side. The coffered ceiling adds another layer of detail to the space. The formal dining room is full of natural light and has detailed picture frame molding and crown molding. There’s also an additional living room farther inside the house.

The home’s kitchen, family room and breakfast room share an open concept design, and all look onto the backyard through large windows. The family room has a fireplace. Built-in cabinets next to the breakfast room provide additional storage. The kitchen has white cabinets and two islands (one has countertop seating), with additional countertop and cabinet storage along the walls.

In addition to the bedrooms upstairs, there’s also a large game room with a dining area and a media room that has built-in banquette seating, Anthony said.

Outside, the home has a pool with a water feature, new turf in the backyard and a patio with space for entertaining. The home also has a three-car garage.

The home is on the market for $4,150,000.
